Kent will sparkle this Christmas as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Drone Light Show lands at the Kent Showground on Saturday 6th December – marking the county’s very first-ever drone light show.
Produced by Lumina Drones, the pioneers behind the acclaimed Space Safari drone series, this spellbinding experience will see the timeless story of Rudolph brought to life in the skies with 600 synchronised LED drones, all set to an original cinematic score of brand-new festive songs.
Audiences will watch the night sky transform into a living canvas of Christmas magic as Rudolph, the Abominable Snow Monster, Santa and more appear above in breathtaking scale, guided by stirring narration that retells this much-loved holiday classic.
Since first airing in the USA in 1964, Rudolph’s journey from outcast to Christmas hero has been a seasonal favourite for generations. Now, for the first time in Kent, families can rediscover its heart-warming message of acceptance and wonder in a bold, new format.
The festivities don’t stop in the sky. Before the main event, guests can immerse themselves in a festive winter village, complete with fairground rides, Santa’s Grotto, games, face painting, and food vendors serving seasonal treats and hot drinks.
As one of only two companies worldwide producing full-scale drone theatre, Lumina Drones is on a mission to revolutionise live entertainment. Their shows offer a sustainable, wildlife-friendly alternative to fireworks, making them safe for dogs and perfect for families of all ages.
Whether it’s children seeing Rudolph for the first time or grandparents revisiting cherished memories, this promises to be the ultimate family Christmas celebration.
